Robert is an entrepreneur with over 26 years of accounting and finance experience in the energy industry. Most recently Robert was founder and CFO of Invictus Energy, LLC, receiving $150MM equity funding commitment from Kayne Anderson Energy Fund VII.  Robert also previously served as CFO for Compass Resources, an $100MM NGP and Kayne Andersen-funded exploration and production portfolio company. Prior to joining Invictus, Robert served in various accounting and finance management roles for Rosetta Resources, Burlington Resources and CMS Energy, overseeing the financial operations of US onshore and Latin America oil and gas exploration and production assets. Robert started his career specializing in taxation for public accounting firms Spicer & Oppenheimer and Pannell Kerr Forster and later managed financial reporting and tax compliance for Floyd Oil Company’s East Texas, N. Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast properties. Robert is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a BAcc double major in finance and accounting.

Jim has 20 years of exploration and business development experience in six major oil and natural gas basins across the United States.  Jim has worked and lead teams in various energy industry roles, including Vice President Acquisitions and New Ventures for Silver Creek Oil and Gas and Vice President of Geoscience at Compass Resources Corporation, where he guided the company’s exploration efforts in the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford.  Jim also worked as the exploration manager of East Texas and Team Manager for Samson Investment, managing a $200MM annual capital budget.  Prior to management roles, Jim worked as an exploration and development geologist for Tom Brown, and Marathon Oil Company.   Throughout his career he has successfully discovered and developed numerous onshore United States plays, including James Lime horizontal play, Bossier tight gas sand play and the Woodbine/Eagle Ford horizontal shale play. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Arkansas.
